We have implemented rigorous protocols and procedures to ensure accurate medication dispensing, proper storage, and effective medication management. Our efforts have resulted in improved patient outcomes and reduced medication errors.

Hospital Pharmacy Service

Hospital pharmacy is a specialized field of pharmacy which forms an integrated part of patient health care in a health facility.

In National Trauma Center Hospital Pharmacy, we strive continuously to maintain and improve the medication management and pharmaceutical care of patients to the highest standards in a hospital setting by the team of registered and qualified pharmacy staff.

Our pharmacy practice follows standard practices implied by Hospital Pharmacy Guidelines 2072, Good Dispensing practice (GDP), Good Storage Practices (GSP) and ISO 9001:2015 Standards.

Missions of the Hospital Pharmacists:

  • To be part of the medication management in hospitals, which encompasses the entire way in which medicines are selected, procured, delivered, prescribed, administered and reviewed to optimize the contribution that medicines make to producing informed and desired outcomes;
  • To enhance the safety and quality of all medicine related processes affecting patients of the hospital to ensure the 7 “rights” are respected: right patient, right dose, right route, right time, right drug with the right information and documentation.

Special Features:

  • Monitoring the supply of all medicines used in the hospital and are in charge of purchasing, manufacturing, dispensing and quality testing of medication stock along with help from pharmacy assistants and pharmacy technicians.
  • Drugs and drug related products dispensing and counselling
  • Monitor the effects of the medications prescribed and counsel the patients on the effects of the drugs.
  • Recommend administration routes and dosages, all of which are dependent on an individual's needs
  • 24-hour Pharmacy Service
  • Availability of a range of Registered Medicines, Orthosis and prosthesis
  • Products and Surgical items, Suture and necessary Implants
  • Exploring precision medicine, implementing medication therapy management programs
  • Ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of pharmaceutical care

  • National Trauma Center Hospital pharmacy initiated its service 24th Kartik 2073
  • Expansion of Pharmacy service at the corner of Operation Threatre, from 9th Ashoj, 2079
  • Expansion of Pharmacy service for providing OPD service, from 17th Baisakh , 2080
