General Surgery is one of the important department of National Trauma Center providing various services. Department provides emergency, elective service and inpatient services. Department is led by Associate Professor and Senior Consultant General Surgeon Dr. Ghanashyam Thapa. Other members include Senior Consultant Dr Udita Mishra, Dr. Shreekrishna Shrestha, Registrars Dr. Deepa Shrestha, Dr. Vijay Shah, Dr Santosh. Three different units of department of General Surgery of Bir Hospital covers most services of National Trauma Center.
