Critical care services are utmost important to provide all possible effort to save the life of a patient by skilled health personnel. Intensive Care Unit of National Trauma Center is specialized in the care of critically ill traumatic patients who need intensive care (monitoring, intensive nursing care and therapeutic intervention). It was started in Bhadra 2072 B.S with 10 beds as Level 2nd ICU. Currently our ICU is Level 3rd ICU running 11 beds and provides all aspects of intensive care including invasive hemodynamic monitoring and dialysis services.

Also eight bedded High Dependence Unit was started from 2080/03/01 to provide a level of care intermediate between intensive care and the general ward care. Our HDU is well equipped for patient monitoring, observation and short term ventilation prior to transfer of patient to ICU. Since the establishment,176 patients were admitted in HDU.
